FAQs

Do you have questions? Here is our FAQ page.

What is special about Mao Feng?

Mao Feng is a traditional Chinese green tea from the Zhejiang province. It is made from young, delicately twisted leaves that are harvested early in the spring. The flavor is soft, slightly sweet, with a fresh, grassy note and a hint of nuttiness – clear, balanced, and pleasantly mild.

When is the best time to drink Mao Feng?

Ideal for the morning or early afternoon. Mao Feng has a gently invigorating effect, but is not intrusive – a tea for focused work, mindful breaks, or a calm start to the day.

How do I prepare Mao Feng hot?

1–2 TL in 200 ml water
Temperature: 75–80 °C
Steeping time: 2–3 minutes
2–3 infusions possible – with increasing sweetness and depth

Can I also brew Mao Feng cold?

It is less grassy than Sencha, milder than Chun Mee, and more structured than many white teas. Mao Feng offers a soft clarity with a slightly nutty aftertaste – ideal for anyone looking for a calm, harmonious green tea.
