What is special about Lung Ching?

Lung Ching – also known as Dragon Well tea – is one of the most famous green teas in China. It originates from the Zhejiang region and is traditionally roasted flat in hot pans. The result is a soft, sweet-nutty tea with a fine freshness and emerald green color. An elegant, clear classic with a long history.

When is the best time to drink Lung Ching?

Perfect for the early day or late morning. Lung Ching is invigorating yet calming – a tea that accompanies you clearly without stirring you up. Ideal also for starting a focused workday.

How do I prepare Lung Ching hot?

1–2 TL in 200 ml water
Temperature: 75–85 °C
Steeping time: 1.5–2 minutes
2–3 infusions – with increasing sweetness and depth

Can I also brew Lung Ching cold?

Compared to Sencha, Lung Ching is milder, rounder, and less grassy. Its roasting gives it a unique aroma between nut and spring meadow. The flat-pressed leaves and the balance of sweetness and freshness make it one of the most accessible classic green teas.
