FAQs

Do you have questions? Here is our FAQ page.

What is special about Keemun OP?

Keemun is a Chinese black tea from the province of Anhui. The designation OP (Orange Pekoe) refers to the leaf size. Keemun OP is smooth, slightly smoky, and delicately spicy – with subtle notes of cocoa shell and dark wood. It feels calm, rounded, and persistent – without being intrusive.

When is the best time to drink Keemun OP?

Ideal for the morning or early afternoon. The tea has a slightly stimulating effect, but not nervously – a quiet pick-me-up with depth. Also perfect as a tea for reading, thinking, or writing.

How do I prepare Keemun OP hot?

1 tsp in 200 ml of water
Temperature: 95–100 °C
Steeping time: 3–4 minutes
2 infusions possible – with increasingly velvety flavor

Can I brew Keemun OP cold?

Compared to Assam or Ceylon, Keemun is calmer, more elegant, and more restrained in its astringency. Not a tea for large cups with milk, but for fine perception – subtle, dark, and classic.
